Dear Yoga friend,

I have created two new courses with you in mind. They are called "Find your Yoga groove" , a  program with 21, ten minutes classes to get you going, or if you want a no dog pose more gentle start, then "Gentle Yoga" 4 x 15minutes would suit you perfectly.... there really is ...always a way.

Until I return from India in February , I encourage you to continue your Yoga habit with me here. There are more  than 50 courses to choose from, and I would love you to maintain (or begin )  prioritising time for your healthy self.

Starting small and growing your Yoga habit  is a great way to develop life long habits to support your life.

You know me, and you know how excited I get with an idea that supports your health and your wonderful life.. you know I always think there is a way and that Yoga benefits everyone, and I'm happy to say that I have finally finished and uploaded the "To the floor and back" online course. It works on strength, balance and range, begins at the beginning. It takes a 30 class  wiggly road to the floor and back. The video is just over a minute and explains it all and I'd love you to watch it.

This weeks program targets both the strength and range in your hips... which often generates a very peaceful emotional state, with the end of the year looming (only 70 days) I think it is just what you need.

I have also included one of the new classes in the "to the floor and back" program I am filming at the moment... I'm hoping it encourages you to do Yoga any time and anywhere. I have filmed this class in my kitchen & in my PJ's... two of my favorite things !

With 83 days left in the year, there is still plenty of time to take care of you and hone your habits in a way that support the best possible version of yourself and you know I think Yoga is a GREAT way.  With the end in sight it is also often a time that habits can be dropped with the idea that they can be picked up again next year.

I urge you to keep going !

Dear Yoga friends,

this week is all about patience and slowing down. It's a lesson that I need and I'm thinking it might suit you too.

I haven't stuck to the classic timing, I am playing around with that a bit so let me know your thoughts and don't worry Cherry Frost I haven't forgotten you desire for core... Wednesday's class is for you !

I have been travelling a bit, mostly to see my family, and Yoga has been my savior, thank goodness.

So this week I have given you a week of travel classes, three small classes and one longer class all perfect regardless if you are leaving your house or not.

It is all about staying connected ... to you, regardless of where you are

Dear Yoga friends, this week we are back on backbends...  I'm thinking that we can never really do too many ! with all our forward flexion life chores.

I've also added a 20 minute Yoga for travel class, which is also in the weekly page this week. I've been traveling a lot lately, mostly to see my daughters in Brisbane and I've come up with a "go to" class designed to help you slow down, ground yourself and practice feeling comfortable wherever you are.

I'd love you to join me in this class even if you are still at home.

Dear Yoga friend, as the seasons change, so should our practice.... and when we consider change, although most humans are a bit reluctant, we are proven to be so adaptive...

I encourage you to jump into a tutorial on dog pose and a week of sun salutations to find your breath and get out of your head.

I'm not sure if you know ... but I line up my practice, and the classes I teach face to face here in Mission Beach with our weekly theme, not only to stay connected to what you are are doing, but also so I can really consider at the end of the week what the next concept we should unpack is... this last week of hamstrings leads us to our hips....don't groan... it will be delicious.. and there is an extra class on Padmasana for those that are keen

You know, when we consider the body, it really is like a Rubik's cube, no one one part of the body ever operating without effecting the rest. As we move down the body this week to check in with your hamstrings, I want you to also notice how long and strong hamstrings support both your sitting and standing posture.
